We are often asked how we became involved in a pole dancing business. Most people assume a Stripper/Exotic Dance background. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Pol-arise was founded by mother and daughter team Cherene and Bailey in early 2005. Cherene had been a busy working wife and mother of 4, running her own Kitchen and Bathroom design business when she first discovered Pole Dancing. Bailey had 10 years of Ballroom dancing behind her and was working in the Finance industry. After taking up Pole Dance together (for a bit of fun and fitness) and quickly recognising the lack of high quality pole dance tuition available outside of the major cities, they set about creating Pol-arise.

With two company owned and operated studios on the Central Coast and in Newcastle (NSW), Pol-arise Dance Fitness continues to gain recognition both within the industry as well as in the mainstream. Cherene sits on the Local Board of the International Pole Federation, an international organisation governed by the world’s leading pole dancers and established to support and benefit the industry as a whole. Bailey makes special appearances at industry functions and charity events and now takes her place amongst some of the world’s best pole dancers.
